WiFi troubleshooting

If the WiFi is acting up, you can reset the router. It's in the locked closet in the east downstairs bedroom: turn off the switch labelled "for router, keep on", wait 10 seconds, then turn it back on. The network should be back within about two minutes.

TVs

The TVs in the living room, the primary bedroom and the downstairs living room all have Telus cable — press the green Optik button on the Telus remote to turn the TV on.

Downstairs living room

Input 6 for the Blu-ray/DVD player; Input 5 for the cable box.

Main floor living room

Set the TV input to HDMI 4. To use the Sony soundbar, make sure it is powered on and set its input to TV on the remote.

Downstairs bedroom

This TV doesn't have cable, but it has a Google Chromecast for streaming apps.

Heat

Make sure the thermostat mode is set to "heat". If it isn't, touch MODE on the thermostat screen until it shows "heat", then adjust the temperature up or down. Keep doors and windows closed for best results.

Air conditioning
